The power that the USB communication interface provides has allowed Star Micronics to build a software driven PoS printer. The advantages of such a printer are evident for applications in retail, hospitality, restaurants and convenience stores.

USB provides an immediate Plug 'n' Play installation that reduces the integration time to minutes. The TSP100 futurePRNT thermal printer is provided with all standard operating systems drivers (Windows, Linux and Mac) and specialty drivers such as OPOS and JavaPOS.

MS7120 Orbit Series Omni Directional Presentation Laser Scanner

Orbit is an aggressive, omni-directional presentation Laser Barcode Scanner. Lightweight and rugged, Orbit is small in size but big on performance. Designed for applications where counter space is at a premium, Orbit is the ideal presentation scanner for retail, convenience and wine stores.

In addition, Orbit's unique, contoured shape allows it to be picked up and used as a hand-held scanner when scanning large or bulky items. Due to it's high quality engineering, Orbit increases the first pass read-rate for maximum productivity. The scanning head can be tilted vertically a full 30 degrees for added flexibility when scanning various sized objects.

MS9590 Voyager GS Series Handheld Laser Scanner

Metrologic's MS9590 Voyager GS ™ is the newest addition to the Voyager® series of hand-held laser scanners. The MS9590 is the first Voyager product to feature trigger scanning in a new ergonomic form factor that maximises comfort and reduces fatigue.

Additional product features include a rapid scan speed of 100 scans per second, extended depth of field, Code Gate data transmission, manual trigger operation, automatic in-stand detection, data formatting, configuration with MetroSelect or MetroSet2 via USB and a 5-year limited warranty.

CB-2002LC & CB-92 Series Cash Drawers

The Star CB-2002LC and CB-92 cash drawers have been designed to connect to any Star printer or printer wired for Star connection. The cash drawer features a three position key lock, which can be used to open the drawer manually or secure it to prevent unauthorised access. For added security, a lockable insert cover is available to ensure cash is secure whilst inserts are being moved from the back office to the till.

A compulsion switch is fitted which can be used to detect if the drawer is open or not. The drawer front on the CB-2002LC features a media slot for posting credit card slips and vouchers, etc. without opening the drawer.
